What are the limitations of a VPS Lite compared to a VPS Cloud?
The main differences between a VPS Lite and a VPS Cloud are bandwidth, SLA, snapshots and flexibility of the package.

VPS Lite vs VPS Cloud: how to choose?
VPS Lite allows you to get a server quickly with the Windows version or Linux distribution of your choice, with pre-configured cloud resources at a very attractive price. They are particularly suitable for simple web applications, development/pre-production environments, testing or projects that are not yet critical.Is root/administrator access provided?
With Linux, you can connect to the server via the Infomaniak Manager's VNC console or via SSH (your computer's terminal). In both cases, root access (su- / sudo) is available.
With Windows, connection is via the RDP protocol. The Administrator account is automatically configured when you order your VPS Lite.How do I connect to VPS Lite for the first time?
When ordering, you can choose between Linux and Windows.
With Linux, you can create a key pair or download your own public key. This key must then be specified when you connect for the first time via SSH. The complete procedure is explained in our guide.
With Windows, you will be prompted to choose the password for the Administrator account. You can then access the server via RDP software such as Microsoft's "Remote Desktop" tool. The complete procedure is explained in our guide.Are Windows licences included?
It is possible to choose Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022 with a Microsoft Windows Server licence. This licence is the property of Infomaniak and remains available to you for as long as the VPS Lite is active. It ends when the product is terminated. If you use Microsoft software requiring a Mobility Licence, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Sharepoint Server or Microsoft Exchange Server, you must provide us with the Software Assurance document via our .Is there any anti-DDoS protection?

As an 'unmanaged' service, VPS Lite does not include support for management, configuration, operating system or server-powered applications.
