Thank you for using Infomaniak for sending your voluminous files and folders to your correspondents around the world! SwissTransfer is a secure online file transfer platform that allows you to send large files in a simple and efficient way.
Preamble
- Unlike many other file transfer services, SwissTransfer accepts files up to 50 GB, which is particularly useful for large files that cannot be sent by e-mail or other traditional means.
- In addition, the data security is guaranteed because Infomaniak is particularly concerned about confidentiality and ethics is at the heart of its concerns.
Transfer data with SwissTransfer
To send files by SwissTransfer:
- Click here to access the web app SwissTransfer Infomaniak (online service) swisstransfer.com).
You can also use the mobile app SwissTransfer (app for iOS/Android smartphone or tablet).
Files that pass through SwissTransfer can be downloaded by the user...
- ... or 1 by 1.
- ... or with the "Download all" button which will create an archive
.zip
Downloadable:- If this exceeds 10 GB, then the data contained 1 by 1 will have to be downloaded.
- Therefore, if you have to send several dozen large files, it is better to group them yourself in advance into a zip/rar/etc archive. (read below).
Compress files before sending...
You can transfer with SwissTransfer several files by selecting them on your device even if the data to be sent includes folders.
To facilitate sending, nothing mandatory but it is easy to compress your files in a format like ZIP e.g. These manipulations will create a new compressed folder .zip
it will be possible to send faster with SwissTransfer as the total weight will in principle be reduced.
... on macOS and Linux
- From your computer, select the folder(s) to send.
- Right-click on the folder(s) to archive.
- Choose the option "Compress":

- From your computer, select the folder(s) to send.
- Right-click on the folder(s) to archive.
- Choose the option "Send to".
- Click on the "Compressed file" option.

Attaching files from the computer to the message
To add an attachment present on your computer:
- Click here to access the web app Mail Infomaniak (online service) mail.infomaniak.com).
- Click on New message.
- Click on the trombone icon Attach File.
- Browse the locations to select the pieces to attach to the message:
If the attachment size exceeds 25 MB, a link SwissTransfer will be generated: the data is stored in Switzerland in the Cloud of Infomaniak and automatically converted to a download link. Your recipients will be able to use this link to easily download your attachments during a predefined period.
You can send up to 3 GB of attachments per message using this method.
Attach kDrive files to the message
To add an existing attachment to kDrive:
- Click here to access the web app Mail Infomaniak (online service) mail.infomaniak.com).
- Click on New message.
- Click on the icon of kDrive folder to browse the locations and select the parts to attach to the message.
- Click the blue button Enclosure (to attach the files to the message rather than send a simple link to the files) then click the blue button Insert:
Include an image in the message body
To add an image to the message (in the middle of the text of your message), 2 possibilities:
- Drag/drop image into input interface(images over 10 MB will not be displayed but will be attached).
- or Click on the icon representing the setting with the mountains and then:
- Click on the button for Upload Image (which allows you to choose it at the location of your choice and then insert it into the body of the message)...
- ... or enter the URL of the image you want to include; the image must be somewhere on the Internet (you can use the FTP File Managerto send your image to your hosting space if you have one) and must still be there at the time your correspondent consults the message.
