Understand login notifications to the Infomaniak user account
This guide explains why you may have to receive an automatic security e-mail regarding your Infomaniak user account.
Preamble
- Attention: false messages circulate and mimic Infomaniak security e-mail.
- If you are not sure of the authenticity of the warning, go to the Manager Infomaniak and Look at recent activity instead of clicking on any potentially malicious link that would be present on the false message.
Automatic Messages of Prevention
Connection from a new location
A security e-mail is automatically sent when a new connection to your account takes place from a new location:
This may happen, for example, if you use your browser's private browsing mode or access your account from a new computer.
If you receive this email immediately after you have logged in to your Infomaniak account, you can pre-empt the login warning!
Attempted login (bad password)
A security e-mail is automatically sent when a person enters a bad password after entering the email address of connection to the Manager:
