Outlook 2007 (Windows): configuring mailboxes (IMAP)

This guide explains how to connect the Outlook 2007 email application to an email address hosted with Infomaniak.

Prerequisites

• Create the address within an Infomaniak Mail Service (or with the free ik.me offer)
• Test the email address password (do not confuse it with the one used to log in to the Infomaniak interface)
• Verify that the automatic diagnostic on the Mail Service is correct

Add the email address to the application

To configure the email application:

1. Open the application
2. Click on the Tools menu
3. Click on Options:
   
4. Click on the Email Settings tab
5. Click on Email Accounts...:
   
6. Click on New:
   
7. Click on Manually configure server settings
8. Click Next:
   
9. Click the Internet Email button to connect to an IMAP server
   
10. Click Next:
    
11. Check and complete any missing information
12. Click More Settings:
    
13. Click the Outgoing Server tab:
14. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
15. Click the Advanced tab:
    
16. Replace the port numbers with the correct information and enable SSL
17. Click OK:
    
18. Click Next:
    
19. Click Finish:
    
20. Click Close:
    
21. That's it, your email address is now configured in the application:
    

Settings to use

• IMAP/SMTP server name mail.infomaniak.com
• IMAP port 993 (SSL)
• SMTP port 465 (SSL)
• Username complete email address
• Password email address password
• Required authentication (learn more)

In case of issues
