Visit ipinfo.io or ifconfig.me.
... on macOS
- Open a window of Terminal.
- Run the command
curl ifconfig.meand press entry. - The displayed address is the public IP address of the computer.
Remember that this address can change periodically, especially if the router restarts or if the Internet service provider uses a dynamic IP address allocation.
To automate the search for the public IP address, use commands or scripts that query services such as api.ipify.org ...
