Manage the invitation sending address in the Guest Manager
This guide explains how to manage the email address used to send your invitations with the Infomaniak Guest Manager tool.
Introduction
- Any of your email addresses can be specified for sending invitations from the Guest Manager.
- There will be no issues with an email address already configured for use with Infomaniak.
- For an email address from a generic domain such as
outlook.fr
orgmail.com
, the email addressno-reply@infomaniak.com
will automatically be used as the replacement sender address, and the same applies for all domain addresses where you cannot modify the SPF (see below for more details). - However, any replies will still be sent to the email address you specified.
- For an email address on a custom domain not yet configured to work with Infomaniak and where you have access to the DNS zone, please refer to the guide below to add the appropriate SPF.
Specify the sender email address
The email address from which your invitations will be sent must be entered at the first step of configuring your invitations (after creating your subscriber lists):
Depending on the specified email address, a popup will appear when you click Next, warning you that the SPF must be correctly configured for the emails to be sent from the specified address. If not, the invitations will be sent from no-reply@infomaniak.com
.
You can still review and modify the address at the last step by clicking on the pencil icon:
Add the Infomaniak SPF to the DNS zone
If you want to use a custom email address to send invitations, you need to verify and, if necessary, modify the SPF record of your domain to allow Infomaniak to send emails on your behalf.
Please refer to this guide, especially the chapter “Adding multiple SPF records” to avoid replacing your SPF, but rather to add the Infomaniak one: v=spf1 include:spf.infomaniak.ch -all
