Manage SEO / search engine optimization in Site Creator

This guide is intended for users of Infomaniak Site Creator who wish to optimize the SEO of their site.

Add Site Creator to Google

To submit your site to the Google search engine:

1. log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Firefox
2. click on the icon in the top right corner of the interface (or navigate through the left side menu)
3. choose Hosting (Web & Domain universe)
4. click on the name of the relevant object in the displayed table
5. click on Site Creator in the left side menu
6. click on Customize my site

Once in Site Creator:

1. click on the Applications button in the left side menu
2. click on the Add to Google application

You can insert the verification code if you use Google Search Console.

Set Meta Tags

Once in Site Creator:

1. click on the Settings button in the left side menu
2. click on General Settings
3. click on SEO and Statistics
4. insert title, description, and keywords for the entire site

This is also where you can manage the robots.txt file if necessary.

To set this up for a specific page:

1. click on the Settings button in the left side menu
2. click on General Settings
3. click on Sub-page Settings
4. click on SEO & Metadata

If you do not intervene on this page, Site Creator dynamically manages your tags.

You can also manage the URLs of your pages independently of the SEO title of your page (page named "Contact" on the SEO side while its URL will be e.g. "/company").

What about "Meta Keywords"?

To enter multiple keywords, separate them by a comma or similar.

Insert Tracking Codes

Your website integrates a simple Statistics module but you can use Google Analytics or other tracking methods (like Facebook Pixel, Google Tag...) which require inserting a code on your site:

1. click on the Settings button in the left side menu
2. click on General Settings
3. click on SEO and Statistics
4. scroll down the page and insert your tracking codes
