Set default mail in a web browser

Mail Infomaniak is compatible with browsers that allow setting a default email provider (Brave, Chrome, Firefox, etc., except Safari). 

Set up Infomaniak Mail as Default

To set Mail Infomaniak as your default mail client on your computer:

1. Log in to Mail Infomaniak (mail.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Firefox.
2. Click on the ‍ icon at the top right corner of the interface.
3. Click on Browser.
4. Click on Set Mail as Default
   
    
5. Follow the instructions provided by the browser you are using (a notification should typically appear at the top of its window).

Troubleshooting

To troubleshoot issues with using Mail as your default mail client, follow the manual instructions for your usual browser:

Firefox 

1. Open Firefox.
2. In the menu bar, type about:preferences
3. In the sidebar, go to General, then Applications.
4. In the "Type and Content" column, select mailto.
5. Click on Always ask and select " mail.infomaniak.com " as the mail handler
   
   
   

Google Chrome 

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. In the menu bar, type chrome://settings/handlers
3. In the sidebar, go to Privacy and Security 
4. In the Protocol Handler section, select " mail.infomaniak.com " as the mail handler
