Block/authorize email senders
This guide explains how blocking email addresses or entire domains‍ so that you are no longer bothered by specific unwanted mails in your Infomaniak inbox.
You will learn that it is also possible to allow addresses to bypass the spam filter‍ from your Infomaniak mailbox.
Preamble
- In addition to the Antispam filter Infomaniak which eliminates the majority of unwanted mails as it evolves, Infomaniak offers two separate lists that you can complete as you please:
- shippers blocked:
- blocked e-mails and domains are directly treated as spam
- shippers authorized (authorized to bypass the anti-spam filter):
- authorised senders and domains will not be filtered by the spam filter
- the list of authorised senders is active only on the original recipient of each message; if the message is sent to an address abc@domain.xyz and that it is then redirected to def@domain.xyz, the anti-spam filter and the list of authorized senders must be configured for the address abc.
- shippers blocked:
- These lists are specific to the email address on which the transaction is conducted.
- A Service Mail administrator can also apply these lists to the entire Mail Service, via the Global Configuration a Service Mail (be aware of this other guide).
