Importing data to kDrive via WebDAV
This guide explains how import external data (files, folders, etc.) to your kDrive using WebDAV protocol.
Preamble
- Be aware of this other guide if you are looking for information to copy accurate data from one kDrive to another when your user has access to the 2 kDrives involved.
Import external data via WebDAV
To access the import tool, where the data must be imported:
- Click here to access the web app kDrive Infomaniak (online service) kdrive.infomaniak.com).
- Click on the icon Parameters Top right.
- Check or select the relevant kDrive from the drop-down menu in the left side menu.
- Click on General in the left side menu.
- Click on Import External Data:
- Click the blue button Start.
- Click on WebDAV.
- Complete the requested information according to the source (including the WebDAV address in your possession - obtained at the source).
- Choose the destination kDrive and the desired location to accommodate imported data.
- Click on Start:
Example: Copy data from a kDrive external to the Organization
To import a kDrive that would be outside the organization where your destination kDrive is located, the following information must be entered in point 9 above (your identifiers will be used exclusively to import your data; they will be immediately deleted at the end of the process):
- Username: e-mail address to the Infomaniak user account
- Password: application password in the case of dual authentication enabled or that of your Infomaniak user account if you did not activate the 2FA
- Entry point: direct access to kDrive (be aware of this other guide about the kDrive ID for the login URL)
- It is possible to choose a subfolder as a source folder, by combining the kDrive ID and the desired file by putting e.g.
