Save data with MSP360 (macOS) on Swiss Backup (S3)
This guide details how to manually save data using the application MSP360 (ex-CloudBerry macOS) via protocol S3 Compatibleon Swiss Backup the backup solution in an independent Swiss cloud.
It is also possible to use FileZilla (SFTP): this other guide.
Prerequisites
- Possession of space Swiss Backup Infomaniak with an available device quota (minimum 1) for a Cloud backup.
- Add 1 device Type Cloud to get the parameters S3 Compatible.
- Download and install MSP360 (macOS).
⚠Swiss Backup is compatible with any Openstack Swift, S3 Compatible or SFTP-supporting application. For additional assistance contact the support of the software used or partner — discover also the role of the host.
Configure MSP360/CloudBerry
To configure a new backup:
- See you in Settings:
- Choose storage S3 Compatible in the list below:
- Inform the fields according to information specific to your device (be aware of this other guide):
Display Name
: name of this storage space on the application.AccessKey
andSecretKey
: the access keys generated from the e-mail received from Infomaniak following the creation of the storage space.Endpoint
(or server URL):https://s3.swiss-backup02.infomaniak.com
- The value of "bucket" remains by default.
- Validate by clicking on Okay..
