Manage forwarding email addresses
This guide concerns functionality forwarding email addresses, a function available on the Mail Services and used to create addresses only to redirect e-mails.

Preamble
- This feature makes it possible to create an email address " virtual" without affecting the available quota of email addresses on the Paying Mail Service.
- It does not keep any received messages, it is impossible to access and view them, nor to restore or see the logs of the messages that have passed through.
- It is intended only for redirect incoming e-mails to one or more (max.
10 destinataires
by redirection) other actually existing addresses. - Registered recipients to receive the emails redirected must first accept their addition for the redirect to them to work (see point 3 below).
- Emails considered spam by Infomaniak will not be redirected (and be aware of this other guide about possible redirections from Gmail to Gmail).
Possible number of redirections
Number of redirection creations e-mail possible, by available address (according to the quota of the Mail Service):

Create the address to redirect emails
1. Open the forwarding address management page
To access the functionality:
- Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
- Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
- Click on the chevron โ to the right of the blue button Create an email address.
- Choose Create a redirect address:
You can also click on Redirecting Mail in the left side menu:
2. Add a new redirect address
To this end:
- Click the blue button for Create a redirect address.
- Name the email address that will receive the emails to redirect (it will be valid on the main domain and its related areas).
- Indicate an email address that will receive the e-mails.
- Click on the button โ to add the valid email address to the table below.
- Remove an address from the table if necessary by clicking on the icon Trash.
- Click the blue button Create:
3. Confirm the addition as the recipient of the redirection
Receipt addresses entered in the table automatically receive an email requesting confirmation of addition.
- The user must click on the link in the email to validate the addition.
- As long as the addition is not confirmed, the status Pending will remain displayed next to the destination address (visible if you change the redirect address - read below).
Edit or remove redirection
You cannot rename a redirect address after its creation. But to change the list of recipients of the redirect, or restart a request for confirmation of addition, or delete the forwarding email address:
- Click on Redirecting Mail in the left side menu.
- Recipients who have not yet confirmed their addition are preceded by a grey icon.
- Click on the action menu โฎ to the right of the relevant redirection address:
From this action menuโฎ Click on:
- Edit to add recipient email addresses:
- Click on the button โ to add the valid email address to the table below.
- Save the modification.
- Otherwise click on the icon Trash to remove a recipient email address from the list.
- Details of acceptance status appears on the right of the address to which it is addressed:
- Send to immediately ask the user to accept its addition to the list (a second restart will only be possible after 24 hours otherwise the button remains greyed).
- Remove to remove the full address (click on the confirmation modal to execute the deletion):
