This guide explains how to start recording an online meeting organized with kMeet the ethical free videoconferencing solution by Infomaniak, in order to obtain a video of the presentation in .mp4 format stored on kDrive Infomaniak.

Prerequisites

• Have a kDrive.
• To be the moderator of the videoconference to be recorded.
• Do not create a encrypted with a custom key.

Record a kMeet meeting on kDrive

To record the meeting in video format .mp4 on kDrive:

1. Start kMeet via kmeet.infomaniak.com or from one of the applications for computers or mobile devices.
2. Once in the meeting, click on the action menu ○○○ in the kMeet toolbar.
3. Click on the icon ◉ Start recording:
   
4. If necessary, log in to your Infomaniak account and select a kDrive to record the videoconference on:
   
5. To stop the recording, click on the icon ⋮ at the bottom right corner and then on Stop recording:
   
6. The recording is available at the root of the chosen kDrive as soon as the virtual room where the meeting took place is closed (i.e., as soon as all participants have left the videoconference).

The video recording is processed on the server side and does not generate any load for the computer of the participant who initiated it.
