This guide explains how to add a password and encryption key to a meeting kMeet Infomaniak's free ethic video conferencing solution.
Protecting a meeting with a password
When creating your meeting room, it is possible to protect it with a password, which you will need to pass on to all your participants to enable them to log in:
- Start kMeet viakmeet.infomaniak.com or from one of the applications For computers or mobile devices.
- Start a new meeting:
- Indicate a name for your meeting room.
- Click on the security options:
- Activate the toggle switch button for Protecting access and setting a password:
- Go on. for join the meeting.
- Share it link or meeting code and password to your participants:

Prerequisites
- This feature only works with our desktop applications and on up-to-date architecture-based browsers Chromium (e.g. Opera, Brave, Google Chrome, etc.).
Then follow the above procedure until point 4. Once in the security options:
- Activate the toggle switch to encrypt from end to end:
- When opening the video conferencing window, an audio message is heard to announce end-to-end encryption.
