Manage Acronis Agent resources

This guide explains how to customize the resources (CPU and bandwidth) used by Acronis software to back up your computer with Swiss Backup.

This procedure is particularly useful if your Internet connection or computer becomes slow during backup processes.

Customize Resources Dedicated to Backups

To access the Acronis management interface:

1. Log in to the Acronis Console (acronis.infomaniak.com) — refer to this guide (click here) if needed
2. Click on Settings in the left sidebar
3. Click on System Settings in the left sidebar
4. Click on Performance and Backup Window
5. Click on YES to enable performance customization
6. Set the dedicated resources for Acronis:
   • CPU priority: Limits the allocated power for your backups
   • Output speed: Limits the allocated bandwidth for your backups; on macOS, enter this parameter in KB/second as the percentage value is only effective on Windows
   • Define a time slot during which resources will be lower: this allows you to allocate all resources to your backups when you are not using your computer, e.g., reduced resources from 6 am to 6 pm, while Acronis can use all resources during the night
7. Click on Save
