Restore a kDrive file to its previous version

This guide explains how to use the history or versioning of files on kDrive.

This feature is very useful to retrieve deleted information that you would need afterwards.
Infomaniak keeps in version history a backup of all changes made to the files on kDrive:
- with a Free offer the versions of the files are kept for 30 days (maximum 30 versions)
- with the higher offers you will find up to 200 versions of the file over 60 days (or even 120 days for the Pro offer and 180 or 365 days with kDrive within kContinued)
You can choose to keep certain versions indefinitely.

Manage previous versions of files

To access kDrive:

Click here to access the web app kDrive Infomaniak (online service) kdrive.infomaniak.com).
Navigate into the kDrive tree that appears in the left side menu.
Right-click on the desired file.
Click on Version History:

The different versions of the file are listed in reverse chronological order.

You can delete all versions of this file with the button.

Otherwise, a menu to the right of each version allows you to:

... create a new file on kDrive from this version,
... download the file in its state at the date/time of the selected version,
... keep it indefinitely: the version will be kept after the standard retention period,
... delete version: allows to delete this version only.
