Disseminating a video stream on YouTube

This guide explains how to broadcast a live video on the Infomaniak streaming platform and YouTube Live.

Prerequisites

• Enable "live" function on YouTube (it can take 24 hours).
• Enable option Simulcast :
  1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
  2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
  3. Click on Parameters in the left side menu.
  4. Click on Options in the left side menu.
  5. Subscribe to the option Simulcast by clicking on the button ACTIVE.

Play a video on Infomaniak and YouTube

To this end:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
3. Click on Parameters in the left side menu.
4. Click on Options in the left side menu.
5. Click on Configure in the box Simulcast.
6. Click on Add.
7. Choose YouTube Live.
8. Choose a name for the simulcast and log in to the Google account that runs your YouTube channel.
9. Accept the terms and conditions and click on Add:
   
10. Click here to open the live broadcast page on YouTube.

In case of a problem

• Be careful, the feed will be sent directly to YouTube at the time of addition. If you want to plan the simulcast:
  • Disable option Enable this simulcast at the time of adding a simulcast.
  • Use the planning tool to set the schedules of your choice:
    
• Your source stream must have a defined framerate (sometimes this is not the case with some IP cameras).
• Simulcast is automatically cut at the end of the broadcast. Two options are available to you to restart the simulcast:
  • Enable simulcast from the configuration of this option (see procedure explained above).
  • Schedule another event from the planning tool.
