Disseminating a video stream on Facebook Live

This guide explains how to broadcast a live video on the Infomaniak streaming platform and Facebook Live's.

Prerequisites

• Enable Simulcast option:
  1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
  2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
  3. Click on Parameters in the left side menu.
  4. Click on Options in the left side menu.
  5. Subscribe to the option Simulcast by clicking on the button ACTIVE.

Play a video on Infomaniak and Facebook

To this end:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
3. Click on Parameters in the left side menu.
4. Click on Options in the left side menu.
5. Click on Configure in the box Simulcast.
6. Click on Add.
7. Choose Facebook Live.
8. Choose a name for the simulcast and connect to the Facebook account that manages your page.
9. Accept the terms and conditions and click on Add:
   
10. Direct broadcast on Facebook is available after 30 seconds on the selected page

In case of a problem

• Despite the type of visibility defined in the simulcast options, the internal configuration of Facebook may exceed the choice made. In this case, it is necessary to change the following parameter in the Facebook options:
  
• Be careful, the feed will be sent directly to Facebook at the time of the addition. If you want to plan the simulcast:
  • Disable option Enable this simulcast at the time of adding a simulcast.
  • Use the planning tool to set the schedules of your choice.
• Simulcast is automatically cut at the end of the broadcast. Two options are available to you to restart the simulcast:
  • Enable simulcast from the configuration of this option (see procedure explained above).
  • Schedule another event from the planning tool.
