Create Mass Email Addresses
This guide explains how to create email addresses by lot instead of adding them one by one within a Mail Service Infomaniak.
Preamble
- In order to guarantee responsible use of services, a limit on the creation of maximum 50 e-mail addresses per 24 hours has been established.
- Contact Infomaniak Support to remove this restriction.
Create new email addresses by lot
Prerequisites
- Have a tool to manage CSV files (format
.csv
) (e.g. OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet type). - Owning a Mail Service on your Manager Infomaniak.
- Have a quota of free addresses available or order them if necessary:

- Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
- Click on the trolley/caddie icon at the top:
1. Getting the example CSV file
The import takes place using a CSV file (format .csv
) which, once completed, can be imported in order to add addresses at once to your Mail Service.
To download the CSV file to configure the creation of addresses:
- Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
- Click on the chevron to the right of the blue address creation button.
- Click on Create multiple email addresses
- Download the proposed model (CSV file in format)

2. Complete the CSV file
The CSV file contains...
- ... a first line with the column title (let it) indicating what to write in the boxes
- ... two lines containing an example (replace these examples):
- The first column (A) must contain the e-mail address desired (only the part before the arobase @).
- The second column (B) must contain the password which will be used for the address on the same line (the password must be secure enough for the file to be imported).
- The third and fourth columns are optional (you can leave them completely empty) unless you want the address that will be created on Infomaniak to be redirected to another, and in this case:
- (C): indicate the full destination email address.
- (D): indicate 0 to keep e-mails after redirection or 1 to delete them.
3. Import CSV file
To start importing your CSV file:
- Once the file
.csv
completed, save it in the same format the proposed model. - Click on the chevron to the right of the blue address creation button.
- Click on Create multiple email addresses.
- Click on Select a CSV file.
- Browse your hard drive and select your CSV file.
- Click on Continue, after a few minutes the email addresses will be added in accordance with the instructions present in the imported file:
