Copy Google mail content (custom domain) to Infomaniak

Prerequisites Google
- Enable authentication in two steps (2FA):
- It is imperative to activate authentication in two steps in Gsuite - if necessary the organization administrator will first have to admin.google.com give users the opportunity to activate it.
- In the parameters from your Google account (https://myaccount.google.com/), go to the tab Security and activate the Two-step validation:

- Create an application password:
- Once the 2FA is activated, return to Two-step validation then go down at the bottom of the page to the application passwords:
- Follow Google complete guide:
- Click on Application passwords.
- Enter if requested the password of your Gmail account.
- Click on Select an application and on Email.
- Click on Select Device and select Other (Custom Name).
- Give a name to your password (e.g. Infomaniak) is simply descriptive.
- Click on Generate.
- Copy or record the password that appears on the screen (it does not contain space).
- Once the 2FA is activated, return to Two-step validation then go down at the bottom of the page to the application passwords:
Prerequisites Infomaniak
- Owning a Mail Service on your Manager Infomaniak.
- Have a quota of free addresses available or order them if necessary:

Transfer emails from Google to Infomaniak
a. Recreate email address(s) on Infomaniak
Go to the Infomaniak Mail Service and create email addresses:
- Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
- Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
- Click the blue button Create an email address Top right.
- Enter the address (which comes before the arobase @) (e.g. contact or michelle).
- Click the blue button Continue.
- Select I'll check the email address alone..
- Click the blue button Continue.
- Enter a password.
- Click the blue button Continue.
- Click the blue button Finish.
- Repeat in point 3 above to recreate all email addresses identical.
b. Import Google's email content to Infomaniak
Access the Infomaniak Mail Service and import your e-mails:

- Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
- Click on the chevron in the right part of the blue button Create an email address.
- Click on Import e-mails (direct link).
- Click on Import my emails into a single email address.
- Enter the existing email address at Google.
- Enter the password of this email address.
- Click on Advanced parameters.
- Come in.

in IMAP port. - Enable SSL and disable TLS.
- Click the blue button Validate and continue.
- Enter the email address (which was recreated at Infomaniak at point a.10 above).
- Click the blue button Import e-mails.
- The import starts and works in the background, an e-mail is sent once the import is complete.
- Recommence at point 3 above to import the rest of the email addresses.
Any "labels" or "labels" in Gmail will be converted to folders in Mail Infomaniak (same principle as during a reports mail with an IMAP software/mail client such as Thunderbird):
Adjust application settings
As soon as you do so that the domain name associated with your email will work with Infomaniak, change the settings of the software/message clients you use so that they can properly connect to the Infomaniak servers: follow configuration assistant.
