Add zone delegation for subdomain

This guide explains how to set up an area delegation for a sub-domain.

Prerequisites

• Possession one domain name with Infomaniak or at least a DNS area.
• Understand:
  • on operation of a field and of a DNS area before changing the latter.
  • that the DNS area here is valid and used that if server names are those of Infomaniak.
  • that any DNS addition/amendment may take up to 48 hours to spread.

Setting up a zone delegation

To this end:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
3. Click on DNS area in the left side menu.
4. Click on the tab Advanced view.
5. Click on the button + :
   
6. Enter the desired subdomain (e.g. test to obtain test.domain.xyz)
7. It is now possible to edit the DNS area of the delegated sub-domain.
