Manage Gzip compression

This guide explains how to activate the compression of resources css, html, json, xml etc. on l'Web hosting of your choice.

Preamble

• This will reduce the size of the resources to be loaded by your visitors, which will reduce the loading time of your web pages.
• Files .htaccess and .user.ini will be automatically updated with the necessary directives.
  • As a security measure, a backup copy of these two files is made with each change.
• Any change can take several minutes to be effective.

Compress files with Gzip

To enable compression with Gzip:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
3. Click on the button Advanced parameters.
4. Click on the tab Come on.
5. Enable option Compression of files.
6. Click the blue button Save:

It is easy to test the compression of your pages with tools such as:
