Transfer data from one kDrive to another kDrive
This guide explains how to copy data from one kDrive to which your Infomaniak user has access to another kDrive to which the same Infomaniak user has access within a web browser. To be the user of multiple Organizations, you must have been added to them (read this guide) and have been granted access rights to the respective kDrives.
Introduction
If, for example, the user abc@domain.xyz has within their "ABC" Organization a kDrive "ABC" and is invited to the "VWX" Organization which has granted them access to the "VWX" kDrive, they will see 2 kDrives on kdrive.infomaniak.com and can send data from one to the other in 1 click.
Without being a user of multiple Organizations, it is also possible to copy data (but only the entire contents of a kDrive, without being able to choose specific data): read this guide about it.
Copying data between multiple kDrives
To copy a folder or file to the other kDrive to which you have access from the same user account:
- Log in to the Infomaniak Manager (manager.infomaniak.com) from a web browser like Brave or Edge
- Click on the icon at the top right of the interface (or navigate using the left sidebar menu, for example)
- Select kDrive (under Collaborative Tools)
- Click on the name of the relevant item in the displayed table
- The kDrive's tree structure appears in the left sidebar menu
- If necessary, select the other kDrive from which you want to copy files
- Click on the action menu â‹® on the right of the folder or file you want to copy to the other kDrive
- Click on Copy to another kDrive
- Choose the relevant kDrive:
- Choose the destination location (knowing that the common folder cannot receive a file or folder at its root but you can create a subfolder using the appropriate icon)
- Click on the blue button to start the copy
If you want to import all the data contained on the other kDrive in its entirety at once, you can follow this guide and choose kDrive at step 9.
