Restore kDrive to an anterior state
This guide explains how to go back in the organization of your files kDrive, especially if movements have occurred and you have lost the thread.

Preamble
- Restoration or function Rewind allows you to return to an earlier state, such as a time machine, and restore the order of files of your choice or all your kDrive up to 3 months back.
- Permanently deleted files from your kDrive Trash and deleted file versions cannot be restored.β
- Restoration can take several minutes, during which kDrive will no longer be accessible for all users, this depends on the volume of data to recover.
- No action is taken on rights and sharing.
Access the kDrive restore tool
Prerequisites
- To be Administrator or Legally responsibleβwithin the Organization.
To open the restoration interface:
- Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
- Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
- Click on the chevron β to develop the game Management of kDrive in the left side menu.
- Click on Restoration:
- Choose what will be affected by the backwards (the entire kDrive or only a part and if so, for which user).
- Choose the date to return (maximum 3 months / 90 days).
- Run the analysis and determine the sequence of operations based on the result.
After the operation, an e-mail is sent and a notification is displayed on the online kDrive.
Analysis report
An administrator who consults a restoration report launched by another administrator will not see everything concerning the personal file of the administrator who initiated the restoration:
In the analysis report view, the data are listed and grouped in relation to the current location before the reverse.
In case of conflict
At the root of the kDrive of the administrator that performed the operation (or at the user concerned) will be created a folder "Restauration (date and time)" containing a subfolder with the conflicting files called "Conflit" and another folder for the existing files currently in the target called "Upward Elements":
