Edit domain name DNS

This guide explains how to modify the DNS (Name Servers) of a field registered with Infomaniak.

Prerequisites

• Possession a domain name with Infomaniak or at least a DNS area.
• Understand:
  • on operation of a field and of a DNS area before changing the latter.
  • that any DNS addition/amendment may take up to 48 hours to spread.

Modification of DNS

To modify the DNS of a domain name managed by Infomaniak and thus control the direction that Web and Mail traffic should take:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Click directly on the nameallocated to the product concerned.
3. Click on DNS servers from the left side menu.
4. Click the blue button Edit DNS servers:
   
5. If your website is hosted at Infomaniak, check Infomaniak Name Servers ; in the opposite case, check Custom Name Servers:
   

Batch modification

To modify the DNS of several mass domain names:

1. Click here in order to access the management of your product on the Manager Infomaniak (Need help?).
2. Select the relevant domain names.
3. Click on ⋮ at the bottom of the screen if necessary.
