Outlook 2013 (Windows): configuring mailboxes (IMAP)

This guide explains how to connect the Outlook 2013 email application to an email address hosted by Infomaniak.

Prerequisites

• Create the email address within an Infomaniak Email Service (or with the free ik.me offer)
• Test the password of the email address (without confusing it with the one used to log in to the Infomaniak interface)
• Check on the Email Service that the automatic diagnostic is correct

Add the email address to the application

To configure the email application:

1. Open the application
2. Click on the File menu:
   
3. Click on Account Settings
4. Click on Add or Remove Accounts:
   
5. Click on New:
   
6. Click on Manual setup or additional server types:
   
7. Click on POP or IMAP
8. Click on Next:
   
9. Verify and complete the missing information
10. Click on More Settings:
    
11. Click on the Outgoing Server tab
12. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
13. Click on the Advanced tab:
    
14. Replace the port numbers with the correct information and enable SSL
15. Click OK:
    
16. Click on Next:
    
17. Click on Close:
    
18. Click on Finish:
    
19. Click on Close:
    
20. Your email address is now configured in the application:
    

Settings to use

• IMAP/SMTP server name mail.infomaniak.com
• IMAP port 993 (SSL)
• SMTP port 465 (SSL)
• Username full email address
• Password email address password

In case of issues
