Configure Gmail (iOS / Android app) to IMAP (messagery)
This guide explains how to use Gmail (Google app for iOS / Android devices or computer on gmail.com) to consult an email address hosted by Infomaniak.
Preamble
- It is recommended to use the mobile app Infomaniak Mail to benefit from the Infomaniak security benefits.
- Infomaniak messaging is compatible with any application supporting in particular IMAP/SMTP.
- For additional assistance contact the support of the software used or Partner — discover also the role of the host.
Use the Gmail mobile app
To add in IMAP the email address managed at Infomaniak in your Gmail app (official guide):
- See you in the Parameters Gmail.
- Press Add Account.
- Choose Other.
- Enter the e-mail address that you want to use.
- Choose account type IMAP.
- Come in. password from the e-mail address.
- Use the server name
mail.infomaniak.com
for:- Incoming IMAP server (receipt):
- Outgoing SMTP server (delivery):
- Incoming IMAP server (receipt):
- Complete the addition of the address.
Import your "Infomaniak" e-mails to Gmail
Here is an alternative solution; e-mails that arrive at your email address will be returned as and when on Gmail via protocol POP3 (not IMAP as above):
- Be aware of this Google guide, tab "Ordinator", starting from Step 2: Edit Gmail Settings.
- Use this login information:

mail.infomaniak.com
- port
995
(check the box SSL connection)
- name of POP server
Send "Infomaniak" e-mails from Gmail
It is also possible to configure Gmail to be able to send emails from an email address hosted by Infomaniak from their interface:
- Be aware of this Google guide.
- Uncheck box Treating as an alias.
- Use this login information:
- name of SMTP server
mail.infomaniak.com
- port
465
(check the box Secure SSL connection (recommended))
- name of SMTP server
