Manage Infomaniak Mail notifications

This guide explains how to be notified of new messages. Infomaniak Mail is compatible with web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) that offer visual alerts when a message arrives in the background.

Show a notification when new emails are received

To enable browser notifications for incoming new messages:

1. Log in to Infomaniak Mail (mail.infomaniak.com) from a web browser such as Brave or Edge
2. Click on the ‍ icon at the top right of the interface
3. Click on Browser

4. Enable the toggle button for Show a notification when new emails are received

   

To disable this feature, turn off the toggle button. You will also need to remove the notification permission directly in the browser (refer to the browser's documentation).

Enable browser notifications
 

Safari

1. Open Safari
2. Click on Preferences and select Websites then Notifications
3. Find the site mail.infomaniak.com and select Allow

Firefox

1. Open Firefox
2. Go to the main menu and select Preferences or Settings‍
3. Go to Privacy & Security in the left panel
4. Scroll down to the Permissions section
5. Click on the Settings button to the right of Notifications
6. Find the site mail.infomaniak.com and select Allow

Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome
2. Click on the More menu ⋮ at the top right > Settings
3. Go to Privacy and security, then click on Site settings
4. Click on Notifications and choose to allow notifications:
   • Allow a site: next to the Allow option, click on Add. Enter the URL: https://mail.infomaniak.com, then click Add.

Microsoft Edge

1. Open Microsoft Edge
2. Click on the menu at the top right, then click on Settings
3. Go to the Cookies and site permissions menu
4. Click on Notifications:
   • Allow a site: next to the Allow option, click on Add. Enter the URL: https://mail.infomaniak.com, then click Add.
