Quick Access to the Server (Web FTP)

This guide explains how to use the Web FTP file manager, which allows you to easily and quickly manage the content of your Web Hosting.

  • … navigate through directories.
  • … transfer files up to 48 MB* between your computer and the server:
    • To exceed this limit and for background work capabilities, resume transfers after disconnections, control bandwidth, etc., use an FTP software/client like Filezilla or CyberDuck!
  • … manipulate existing files (copy, rename, move, delete, …).
  • … edit and view text, php, and html files smaller than 1 MB.
  • … compress and decompress zip files.
• With Web FTP, no special access is required as long as you have management rights over a hosting account in the Infomaniak Manager.

Accessing the server via Web FTP

To quickly access the server via FTP or SSH:

1. Click here to access the management of your hosting in the Infomaniak Manager (need help?).
2. Click directly on the name assigned to the relevant hosting.
3. Click on FTP / SSH in the left sidebar menu.
4. Click on the SSH web or Web FTP buttons available to you:
   

Uploading Multiple Files

It is not possible to upload folders due to the technology used, which does not support this.

However, multiple file selection is possible, allowing you to upload a large number of files at once into a previously created folder.

Alternatively, you can consider uploading a zipped folder (.zip) and extracting this archive once it is on the server, using the same Web FTP tool.
