Den Ordner einer Website ändern
This guide explains how to modify the target folder where your website is stored on an Infomaniak Web Hosting.
Introduction
- On Infomaniak web hosting, it is possible to install multiple websites with their own domain names (multisite management).
- Each of these sites is stored in a folder of your hosting, which is the target of the site. You can freely modify the target of a site. For example:
- The site
domain.xyz
has a target of, for example, the folder/web
… - You publish a site in a new subfolder of
/web
called, for example,/web/v2
… - By changing the target from
/web
of the sitedomain.xyz
to/web/v2
, the sitedomain.xyz
will show the content of the folder/web/v2
without including this path in the web browser’s address bar and without granting access to any files still located in/web
.
- The site
- However, we advise against creating "
v2
" in a subfolder of "web
" but rather beside it, by creating the folder at the root of your hosting. - These folders actually exist on the server, but you are not required to connect via FTP to manage them.
