Assistance in purchasing a bicycle (a maximum of 1450 CHF per bike) has proved to be a success! 3 months after this initiative was launched, more than half the employees living in the city of Geneva travel to work by bike in the warmer season, whereas before only one person used it on a daily basis !

While this measure may entail expense for the company, the advantages will benefit the entire world: apart from the benefits of daily exercise, employees will avoid parking finesfree themselves of stress, arriving at work more relaxed, but above all they will not emit any pollutants on their journey to work: a bike emits neither CO2, nor nitrogen oxide, nor fine particles that are carcinogenic nor does it cause noise pollution and it helps to improve the flow of traffic.

One of Infomaniak's staff who cycles in his leisure time has decided to use this mode of transport all year round. But the most surprising thing is that he lives several kilometres outside Geneva! He took 30 minutes in the car, but the distance didn't seem to pose an obstacle for him. And surprisingly the journey time didn't suffer from this change: he now takes 40 minutes to get to work.
